Mazuma Mobile - Pleasantly Surprised

Options
Just thought I'd share my experience of Mazuma mobile recently. I sold my old HTC hero to them for £65. Although I could have probably got a bit more on ebay I'd have had to pay various fees and deal with the inevitable Nigerian scammers so I didn't think the price offered was too bad.

I was very sceptical at first but the whole transaction went as they described and I had my money within 24 hours of posting the phone. They also gave me the exact amount they quoted on their site - non of this reducing their offer after receiving the phone.

It was a very smooth transaction and took a lot of hassle out of selling my phone.

I had a very good experience with Mazuma.

Placed the order with them Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning the return bag arrived with a very clear leaflet explaining the different choices of return methods. Took phone to post office and paid an extra 35p for a signature.

8.30am on Wednesday received an email to say the phone has been received. 10am received an email to say the payment was on its way to me. Thursday received the payment and a thank you letter.

I'd chosen payment by Argos voucher as you get at couple more pounds.

    Very satisfied.

i've only had good experiences with them. sold an iphone 3g to them a few months ago in really quite bad condition (scratched screen, back case cracked, wifi not working) and was bracing myself for and fully expecting a reduced payment. got the full amount through by bank transfer the day they received it.

same thing last year. all good in the hood.

    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)

I've heard nothing but good things about Mazuma :-) I just sent off my old Tmobile G1 and am expecting £38.50 in Argos vouchers any day now. Can't wait!

I always sell my old phone now
just a tip for next time, try using a price comparison website before sending your phone off.
I also sold an HTC Hero a couple of weeks ago and got £88. Not much use to you now, but goes to show it's always worth shopping around.

I must be unusual. I keep hold of my phone until it's only fit to be recycled or used for spare parts.
  • Another satisifed customer here!

Sold my broken blackberry to them for £35!

Was sceptical but went through perfectly!
  • I'm another who has had a satisfactory experience with Mazuma.

I got about £5 for a Samsung phone that was battered and scratched, completely hassle-free. Would have just thrown it in the bin otherwise.

Their advert is still absolute rubbish though :)

Another good experience here. Sold a battered LG phone that's been in the cupboard for the last 18 months for £25. It was less than a week between asking them for a valuation and getting a cheque from them. I'll certainly use them again.

As it turns out I had my phone nicked last night so I could have done with that handset... Oh well :)

I sold my N97 to them. I got it on contract not long after it came out and HATED it. A couple of weeks after I also managed to get a huge fag burn on the screen! I assumed they would see the burn and offer me a reduced price but no, got the full £150 offered. Now have a blackberry curve which i love thanks to them!
  • they sound better than o2 recycle. Sold iphone 3gs for a decent price to them - then they knocked 5% off for scratches on screen. The phone was perfect
