Three's "free calls for life" offer.

We bought three skype phones based on this about two years ago. The phones have not been used for calls charged to three other than the original tenners credit.

All calls have been skype calls until at sometime on the 31/3 - 1/4 it stopped working for skype calls (but everything else was working).

When I checked the net, it seems three have decided to stop supporting "free calls for life" ie skype calls on a few phones, although never thought to text to say, but some people on the net had been texted and this was how they knew then posted.

So I have skype phones that wont do skype now, and is locked to a network I would not go near with a bargepole. I think "for life" means more than two years.

I want them to give me a new similar spec phone that still works, as the current two we have are now useless to us.

Who do I complain to, and what do you think my chances are?

I am not calling the indians, as they act more like cowboys.

Surely you can still use the FREE MSN, so could still message each other for free, even if you can't phone each other for free.

Or you could try icardmobile that has free icard to icard calls, landline 1p, mobile 5p text 4p, minimum top up £5.

I have a sneaking suspicion that somewhere in the small print would be

"Gaurenteed for the life of the mobile"

Similar to nokias with free sat nav for life (meaning life of the handset)

And since 3 have decided it has come to end of life then thats that.

Also having used the service for over 2 years and only ever topped up £10 i dont think three will be jumping through hoops to help.
