Recycling Mobile Phones via Online websites... Problems....

I recently sent three mobile phones to Mobilephoneexchange, a Blackberry 9000, Blackberry Torch and iphone 4 16gb. The Blackberry 9000 was used and the other two were brand new gifts (sim free)
The phones were sent via special delivery, and I received acknowledgement and payment for the Blackberry 9000, however the company claims never to have seen the other two phones, and neither have I received any payment.
I have been fighting the company for the last two months with no avail to try and get my money. They say that the warehouse claims to have only received one handset, and that they remember this (strange? - they must deal with a lot of incomings so why would they remember 4-6 weeks later that there was definitely only one phone)
I have spoken to Royal Mail regarding this matter also and they state that as the package was signed for and received by the company that they are therefore liable for the contents, which seems perfectly reasonable enough to me. The only thing I could claim for Royal Mail with is if the package arrived damaged, and then there is no guarantee I would receive any compensation anyway, however, upon mentioning this to the phone company, they stated that they no longer have the packaging but they could send me a logo headed paper stating there was only one phone in there!
Also, the phone recycle company state that if I had the IMEI numbers, which I don't, as I didn't think there was any need to keep a note of this, then they would be able to trace their whereabouts?
I personally think they should take some responsibility?!
Can anyone help, or have any ideas as to what I can do as the two other phones were valued at £500 on their website, which is so much money to lose!
Thank you

Well in theory if you have sent the special delivery and they have signed for them you shouldnt have a problem, however the fact you can't prove which phones you sent (in terms of the imei) could cause some problems.
After all I'm sure they get loads of iPhones and torches, I'd suggest asking on the consumer rights board about this problem you may got more help there.
Either way though, good luck!0
