Phone calls in south east asia
I am off to Singapore, Bali and Thailand shortly for 3 weeks.
Whenever I go on holiday I wish I had a mobile phone to use locally, but have never got around to sorting something out. I have an old T-mobile pay as you go phone (which I assume is locked) but I have no idea if it can be of any use abroad. Unlocking, local sim cards and the like are all a mystery to me.
I assume if I get my phone unlocked I can put anything in it. Can I purchase a sim card in UK to use in SE asia? If not can I get one sim for all 3 countries on arrival?
Any help would be appreciated.

Unlock it and buy a local PAYG SIM upon arrival for each country, using the same SIM across different networks will attract roaming charges.No free lunch, and no free laptop
