Samsung Galaxy S or Ace?

Hi,

Hoping someone can sway me one way or the other. I'm looking for a new phone on monthly contract at a maximum of £20 per month.

I've pretty much decided on a samsung galaxy S or an Ace but don't know which one is better.

Can anyone tell me?

Thanks!

I've just got a Samsung Galaxy S myself and must say it's a great phone, the screen is absolutely amazing. However I haven't used the Ace, but did consider getting that phone instead.

Based on the specs, the Galaxy S is a better phone, but the Ace is cheaper, so depends on what you prefer.

My Galaxy S works out £50 more expensive over 2 years than the Ace, so I was happy with that, as I preferred the better screen on the Galaxy S, along with the faster processor.

Might be best to read the TechRadar reviews, as I think (IIRC) they rated the Orange SF as better than the Ace.

Unless it takes the upgrade to Android 2.2.1 i would not buy .
Poor screen would put me off .
Probably need to buy new sd card as its only 2MB and onboard memory only 158MB .
Poor web browser due to small screen .
    No Flash player.

Compared to the Galaxy S and i would rather pay the extra for the £100 for the Galaxy S .

Galaxy S gets the faster Android 2.3 anytime soon .
Galaxy S Mark 2 is due out soon and price of existing may drop .

Think i would be comparing the Ace with the Orange SanFrancisco at half the price .

Would i buy Galaxy S HTC Desire or IPhone 4 probably still prefer a Galaxy .

The galaxy ace is completely differentto the galaxy mini, 2 different phones.

The ace tends to be in your budget and the difference isn't too big, I've been quite impressed with the ace seeing it in action.

The processor is 800mhz rather than 1ghz and the screen is smaller, this is a matter of preference though.

If they were both free I'd go for the galaxy if you don't mind the size, but the ace is a fine phone.

I recently had a galaxy s with the carphone wharehouses talk mobile costing me £18 a month 300 mins 1000 texts and 1gb of internet the phone cost me £50 but they had an offer on and took my old phone both of which worked out at £50 quid so it in fact cost me nothing. I love my galaxy its amazing so easy to use the screen is fantastic and the sound is crystal clear. Their talk mobile uses the vodafone signal which is excellent where I live. Hope this helps
