Holiday for 17yr olds

Hi,
My son & his friend are looking to go away during the school holidays. They break up on 22nd July, so can go anytime after this. They are both 17yrs old.

They need to fly from a South West airport (Exeter, Bristol or Bournemouth). Going for 7 nights all inclusive to somewhere where there is plenty of nightlife. Budget of £350 each max.

Has anyone got any suggestions??

Thankyou.

I think they will be exceptionally lucky to get 7 nights AI from a South West airport in the school holidays for that budget! Is there any manoeuvre on that?
  • It would be much cheaper if they could go before 23/7/11. My son did not have to attend school after his exams (AS levels) finished last year. Are you sure they have to attend right up until the end of term?

i work for a one of the leading travel agents and im not very positive they will get ai in the summer holidays for 350£ each for a week. tunisa is very cheap at the moment but if they are looking at one of the more '18/30' resorts they will need to triple their budget for ai.

alot of the popular resorts e.g magaluf dont have many ai hotels
places such as tenerife or the canaries your looking at £500 min each.

also a lot of hotels wont except -18's so make sure you check before booking on the internet i would be really upset if your son got out their and wasnt alowed to stay in the accomadation and before you ask how they would know how old he is they all take copies of your passport for all the guest staying.

im at work tomorrow so will do a quick search for you to see if i can find anything for them but tbh at 350£ pp ai for 7 nights im not hopefull

also re airports sure you couldnt get them to birmingham or luton/gatwick you often get way cheaper package holidays from these 3 esp birmingham....

    food for thought

I don't think there is any point in 17 year olds going on an AI holiday as they would be issued with children's wristbands.

If they're all 17 they wouldn't be able to go, the lead passenger has to be 18+

Not necessarily, i know 17 year olds who have gone on holiday, with a letter from an adult authorising it. However, they certainly wouldnt get full all inclusive, as at 17 they will definately get childrens wristbands which rules out alcohol.

Correct, 17 years old can go on holiday as long as they have a letter authorising it from their parents, but i think you'll find the lead passenger has to be 18+, thats why i phrased it how i did.
