Don't know exactly what the competition rules are but my Jazz currently has a WC cistern in the back which I'm taking round to my neighbourhood plumber to get the correct syphonic unit plus seals.
  • Not white goods, but I saw a P reg Fiesta today with a vespa sized moped in the boot.
Ok, it was hanging out the back slightly, but it was in there.

:rotfl: it amazes me what people will cram into their cars. Was more the irony of a "white goods" car carrying white goods that I was hinting at though ;)

Don't like carrying big stuff in the back of any car though, always worry about where it'll end up if I need to brake hard :rotfl:

In my 'yoof a mate had a Kawasaki jetski. We used to cram that, three 6 foot plus chaps and my 12 year old brother into a Peuget 205 gti.Looked like a sardine can and wrecked the rear suspension eventually.

My car probably doesn't have enough power to haul that about even if it did fit in :D

Clearly no worries on this thread about effect of load on mpg. but maybe any extra fuel cost compensated for by DIY transport rather than paying a courier.

TBH I'd very rarely load my own car up with stuff - I'm hiring a van next week to shift some crap.

Worry more about damage to trim / fabrics than MPG, mind :D

Had 1.0 Citroen AX abandoned near me last year. There were about 25, 2 x 2 slabs in the back.

Years ago I fitted a double divan bed base, double mattress, a settee which folded into a double bed, and a shower base into a mini clubman estate.

Oh that's nothing, I had my neighbours 30 stone corpse in my car.
