The results will always appear skewed in favour of more densely populated areas. This doesn't mean you are more likely to be a winner living in that area, it just means a winner is more likely to be found in that area, because there are more people living there.

Put simply say only 10 people were in a draw where your name was picked out of a hat and you win £10. You in devon and 9 people in say London.
Each of you has a 1 in 10 chance of winning the £10.
HOWEVER Devon has a 10% chance of accomodating the winner whereas London has a 90% chance (i.e. it will probably be someone from there).
