Error at petrol station in Bradford
I heard on the radio today that a petrol station in Bradford made a slight error and put the decimal point in the wrong place thus selling petrol for 12.99p/l instead of 129.9p/l.
They said approx 50 customers got petrol at the cheaper price before it was realised.
A bit of a bonus with the price of petrol nowadays but has anyone else heard of anything like this.

:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I wonder if they'll use the forecourt cctv to track those customers down and send them a bill0

Yeah thats the one, i wish it was my local station and i'd been told about it, its about time the motorist got a good deal these days.0

...and I bet that half of the population of Bradford would have wanted it cheaper still...
"what is the last price..."0 -
Doubt they'd get away with that - if its advertised at the price you pay there'd be no comeback.0

No need to use cctv, they had to pay by card at the pump to get it cheap:
About 50 motorists stocked up on unleaded fuel at the petrol station in Rooley Lane, Bradford, West Yorkshire, on Thursday.
Drivers queued up to use the automatic card-payment pumps for about two hours until the mistake was spotted.
An Asda manager seemed quite cool about it, was smilingas she explained on local bbc news . . . they know who you are :rotfl:
