^ i can't believe they charge £4.10 to deliver a sheet of paper. My god. Thanks for the link anyway :)

Delivery Charges (can't link directly to the right section, you'll need to scroll down)

    it's £1.45 for all 2D items (i.e stamp books)
    & £2.95 for 3d items (packaging/boxes and gifts)
the £4.10 delivery is only for the business section (unless you buy over £35 worth of items in that category - like a sheet of 100 1st class stamps - then it's free.)

Stamp price controls could be scrapped

Price controls on stamps could be scrapped leaving Royal Mail free to impose big increases without any challenge.

MyHermes? I often find them cheaper than RM and no doubt will find myself using them more and more after the RM price increases.

I did buy loads of stamps over the past few days though, my Post Office loves me 'number one customer' the post master called me lol.
I'm going to sell some bits and bobs for charity in the next few weeks so the savings will make a few extra pounds for the charity which is good.

    ..........................

ONLY for items OVER 1kg - even after the increase.

And the Royal Mail offers a minimum of 5 pricing stages up to 1kg - there are 10 in practice - whereas myhermes' MINIMUM is fixed at the 1kg limit

I have used myhermes loads of times for packages under 1kg, and with the code CLTNS11 you can get 25% off, so anything over 500g has been cheaper for me to use myhermes than RM over the past few months. I was just saying if they are cheaper people will use them more and more.

Even with 25% off myhermes would only have been cheaper than RM if over 750g.

Of course this is providing the destination is not the Shetlands, Hebrides or the Isle of Man OTHERWISE the Royal Mail can deliver 2kg for less than myhermes (even with 25% off)

I agree people will use the cheapest - providing it's reliable and goods don't get lost or monstered, but you have to choose VERY carefully for the best pricing options
