A first class stamp will rise by 5p to cost 46p - a rise of 70.3% in 11 years. The price of a second class stamp is set to increase 4p to 36p. I recall that a second class post is little different to first class in the majority of cases so stock up with second class stamps!

Superdrug is also offering 5% off first class stamps, cutting the standard cost from 41p to 39p per stamp from 16 Mar until 3 Apr 2011.

I got a pack of 12 yesterday. Will last me for quite a while. I only use stamps for bday/xmas/mday/fday/etc. cards to friends & relatives. Other than that, I always use freepost or email for my correspondence.0

I stocked up today. I can't believe Royal Mail are allowed to put them up so much, especially when the service we get from Royal Mail is diabolical!0

I don't think the service is diabolical - only a small minority of post goes missing or is late, considering how much post is on time and not lost.
Where else can you get a physical letter sent from Inverness to London in 1-2 days for less than 50p?The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Well you can, but hardly worth it after the delivery charge!
