A work colleague’s wife had a cold call last from somebody inferring that they were from 3 and they could offer and upgrade phone. They said they had all the details of her husband and they didn't need anything else. Re-enforcing the 'we are from 3' inference.
His wife agreed to the upgrade and they have now received the 2 new phones and 2 new contracts with 3 but from F2 Communications. These are brand new contracts not upgrades on the original that they still have running!!! So they now have 4 phones and 4 contracts!!!!!
The paper work is less than convincing but he has spoken to the 'customer services' for F2 today to cancel the contracts within the 7 day period and they were less than competant. They were supposed to give a reference number and return address for the phones but none was forthcoming. 'somebody will call back today'?
Has anybody else had this problem? Where did they get his information from. How did they know his wifes phone was being paid by him?
Any suggestions.
