Alleged speeding offence (68 in a 50 on a motorway didn't see the sign it was big enough but distracted by talking to passenger)on the 9th March. Notice of intended prosecution arrived on 1st April posted on 30 March. I have had same company lease car for nearly 5 years, with the law stating the registered keeper should be notified in 14 days, is not 21 days outside this even for company car driver:question:

The register keeper is not necessarily the same a driver. As long as they have sent the NIP to the name and address on the V5, they have satisfied the law.

What if I have not heard anything within 14 days?

The obligation on the prosecution is to show they served the Notice of Intended Prosecution 14 days or less from the offence. The day of the offence is not counted in the calculation. They do not have to show you actually received it, so the general rule that post is deemed to be served 2 days after posting applies. If you move house or buy a vehicle and do not register the change of details with the DVLA then the notice will go to the wrong address. As it was due to your default it does not invalidate the notice. Also, if you were driving a company or hire car the notice is sent to the company or hire company. It can be weeks, if not months, before you find out about it but again this does not invalidate the notice.

I can find more examples for you if you wish.

I look forward to an apology. ;)

It's still total tosh. Complete and utter tosh to the extreme.

Reported for trollism (and false & untrue information).

OP, ignore this person. They are talking utter rubbish, as is evidenced by the many external references to the law as stated previously and which completely contradict this person.

This is correct (other than the term is 'registered keeper'). There is only one registered keeper per vehicle. This is the name shown on the V5 document and to whom the NIP must initially be sent. There could of course be any number of drivers.
