No I am perfectly well thanks - just felt like treating myself to a few things but so far have only spent half my sales money so that's not bad.
I think we probably all need a treat now'n again!
I have treated myself to a beautiful silver serving spoon, an applique beaded jacket for a wedding and some swimwear so not bad for fifteen quid all in.
Do need to get up to date with my spending diary again though - I keep slacking!
Och thanks hun...I sold the ibook for £80 (by the time I've paid D for putting 10.4 on it)...this was my first mac when I fell off the wagon in the spring ...
And I only spent 70p today :j....So pleased with that...Also my tobacco lasted 2.5 days so well chuffed (aim was it to last 2 days)....
I spent the 70p on a doughnut...Not exactly the most frugal doughnut when you consider mr s has them for 25p but still....
Also my crown came out tonight ...Boy my mouth feels funny....Praise God I have a free NHS dentist (don't know how I managed to land that one?
) so will make an appt tomorrow
Blessings
Off to bed now (boys squeaking mid fight LOL)

I also run a networking site which works as a help site too https://www.lactivist.net, this is self funding as it has sponsors but they pay for the running of the site not my time to keep it going.
In the uk we have low breastfeeding rates anyway, the government have cut funding for breastfeeding awareness week so the rates will drop and out of the people who do breastfeed, how many of them want to say that on a baby t-shirt, my market is very very tiny.
I've run lactivist for 7 years and never drawn a wage, and I just can't keep volunteering like this. I don't want to up the prices.
My plan is to stop doing the bigger t-shirts, the badges and the postcards and concentrate on the smaller sizes, whittle down the designs to ones i know sell, bring out a cloth nappy t-shirt and put all the other designs on cafe press - I've started doing that tonight on https://www.mothersmilkmarketingboard.co.uk but it is a long job :-)0 -
tumptyteapot - such a valuable service. I've never heard of it which is a pity. In fact, thinking about it I don't remember seeing any posters or leaflets about breastfeeding in my GP's surgery. I fed all mine until about 12 months but was positively discouraged and had to pretend I was bottle feeding my youngest - but that's another story.
I wish you well with your business
Frugalism today
planted out French and runner beans, picked lettuce and radish for lunch
watched maypole dancing at the local pub - swapped some plants
aims for 2014 - grow more fruit and veg, declutter0 -
Hi, have been trying to be frugal, but its not really been working. Have not been around on here, (been on my thread etc), but a bit tied up with stuff so I think I need to come back on board this month and see if I can redeem myself.!
Not filling in the spread sheet since march has been my down fall, and the thought of going back and trying to attack it is giving me nightmares! But its got to be done somehow. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Tumpty, your website is amazing, I know you've probably been down this avenue but have you tried speaking to breastfeeding counsellors in hospitals and doctors surgeries - leaving some leaflets, flyers with them. Also sending out leaflets and flyers with your orders so poeple can pass them on to friends when they ask where they got that cool T shirt from etc?

urgh, letter from lecki and gas supplier telling me that my rate ends soon and I'll have to go through the process of finding another cheaper one....... gloom and doom0

I had a mega whoopsie (is right now when daily treats should be less than £1 including doughnuts) today
....woe is me..
I spent £1.69 (in addition to 50p on doughnuts) on a egg cooker microwave variety (4 of them so some will do as gifts) and 3 cans of juice from HB cos I wanted a mid afternoon sugar fix...
and even worse I've gotten all my grocery shopping in for the week with no hint of menu plan ..time to go to Mr. C at 7 for the bargains if they're 10p or less...
Only bit of good news is slept well so more cig reduction today
