Are you mad! Have you seen what washing-up liquid does to your paint work? The salt content in the liquid alone, is enough to burn the lacquer off your paint and that's without considering the effects of ammonia and other chemicals such as solvents.
I have a 4x4. If I worried about what it looks like, I'd go insane. You should have seen the damage when it had an altercation with a tree, a bit of washing up liquid burning the paint off is nothing. Could look like a run down rust bucket for all I care, as long as the engine does what it's supposed to do.We’ve had to remove your signature. Oh, I missed this one.
Frozen water expands, and can split your windscreen washer bottle and / or fittings.
Perhaps but as I said.. it hasn't bothered me and hasn't bothered my car. :cool:We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

That doesn't make recommending it to others a good idea.0 -
Does anyone know of one with a high methanol content? Most seem to list either ethanol or 5% undisclosed chemicals.I want a reliable source of one ready mixed with methanol to use in a water injection tank rather than have to source, transport and store flammable methanol.0

It's upto others whether they do it or not. I'm not forcing anyone or holding a gun to your head lol. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I may have mentioned this before but is there any reason why motor companies could not wind the hose for the washers round the heating hose and so warm up the water in it?counting down the time I got left.:beer:0

Its a good idea but I think the freezing problems stem from when the engine isn't running eg parked overnight and the reservoir freezes.0

Holts five litre bottle form Costco, half the price of what the retailers charge. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
