Well I asked my OH to get a few addresses nd check some names....
So....
I have done most of them! I have emailed Best Man and got his address n his parents, emailed his godmother, emailed his cousin n got her address n her parents, n sorted out other cousins names and partners names!:T0 -
Just ordered some free stuff off vista print....
got a poster for the games table, and a lawn sign that says thank you which we can use as a photo on the front of the thank u cards.
Also got OH a mug to go with his pressies... It is weddingy themes (pic of white dress n suit) n I have his name then, 'for use with the 'wedding breakfast'! Fill with tea or coffee!'
The wedding breakfast is his 'thing'- he thought a wedding breakfast was an actual breakfast...
So something to make him smile!:T0 -
cool im waiting on all my bits still but next time there is a big load of offers on i will do another stock up i cant get enough of vista print atm
i asked my OH to look for a DJ - he googled milton keynes DJ emailed me the first link and said he was done so he is being a pain in the !!!!The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -

hi everyone not been on here for ages and I haven't done any wedding planning for ages. So much other rubbish has got in the way
my car broke, our LL handed us 2 months notice as he has to sell, and I'm feeling ill and got a bad back!!!! Completely broke because of all of that really so haven't been able to think about the wedding, my lovely Dad has just gone and ordered all the card for the invities for me though after checking with me what I wanted. And he is going to help me make them when they come over for a visit in a few weeks. Although I'm wedding dress shopping with my mum at that visit and I was meant to lose weight for it and I haven't so now dreading it
My main pain I have to organise is thank you gifts just haven't got a clue (or the money at the moment!!)0 -
for the gifts could you get some cheapy frames from wilkos or poundland and some paint and decorate them yourselves
so sorry to hear about everything going wrong! hopefully things will gt back on track soon
and yes jo thats what my OH thinks that i have done with the venue and photographer and everything else i may just kill him and marry myself!!!!!The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
Sorry to hear about all your hassle Magpie? What is your budget for gifts, who are they for (ages etc) and how many? Maybe we can think of a few things....
Sounds like your dads being lovely tho! Mine was looking into transport for me and him to get to ceremony a while ago (it was an excuse for him to use my iPad), he said I have bookmarked a couple of sites for you. I say thanks, have look at them later, turns out it was a site that was hiring a Bugatti for £20,000 a day. Soo Dad your paying???!!! :rotfl::T0 -
Hi October peeps
We're £1800 off target, never thought we'd do it but looks as if we'll be fine! Maybe will have a little extra to upgrade to a nicer rooms on honeymoon.
Have also ordered invite materials and am going to start making them soon.Feels like it's all going to plan.
Now need to lose weight (have been gaining weight recently?! Not sure why). May join the diet thread. How's everyone else getting on?0 -
All is going OK with me.
managing to loose some weight, and going to the gym quite a bit. Measured myself yesterday for the first time since Nov, I may not have lost that many lb but I have lost a good few cm! I'm really pleased.
Have started on the invites, just going slowly with them, a few at a time.
Got FoB/ FoG pint glasses through yesterday, pleased with those.
We are all ok with the savings for the wedding, this is only true if we get the money we have been promised from parents... So will over save just in case I think! Now need to start a honeymoon saving fund!:T0 -
My wedding dress was on don't tell the bride last night - and the bride hated it!!!0
