I've booked my hen weekend now too - we're going glamping! So excited - can't wait!
hello, hope you all dont mind me following this forum. it's just i'm a first time bridesmaid at the end of oct and not entirely sure what i have to do.
i have been helping with ideas in the hen party department (contacting quests and pricing) and although i know the bride has the last say im not sure who actually makes the booking. can i ask who made yours?0 -
hiya 2012
my bridesmaid is planning everything and i will only know the afternoon before we go
she has been a huge help with planning and is helping me with everything from outfits to table decorations
she (and her partner) are much girlier than me which helps as i have not worn a dress in many years and have no idea lol
the more help you can offer the bride the more thankful she will be as (i know i am) very stressed and busy
just make sure she knows your there if she needs you
just out of interest is your bride someone on here? The only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
My sister is planning mine (Cheif Bridesmaid). I was not going to know anything, but it got a little stressful for her, so I said I would help. She is making the booking, n having real control, if things get a little out of hand (it was stressy dealing with other BMs) I will step in.
Ask your bride what she wants you to do? Some people can be very particular, in which case she may want to do everything, but if she needs some help she may feel bad asking.
One thing I would say about the hen do is make sure that there are a couple of little surprises that she doesn't know about. Maybe she chooses general timetable, but say you have control over the free hours and do some games etc.:T0 -
she will know the person who id giving her the help even if they are trying to take the credit
does it really matter who gets the credit as long as the bride has the best day and a brilliant hen party and that she has help with the planningThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
It may be that they are doing other bits that you don't know about, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. I really suggest just asking her what she wants you to do.:T0

any ideas on what your sister is planning jo?
my sister is my MOH and she is planning mine but she keeps feeding me random information last week we were going on a lesbian retreat, we have also been going skydiving, going to see phantom of the opera, going to do nothing, going to a local club, they are going to tie me to a lampost, going to a spa and making me sit in the car whilst they go in
i really hope these are all false but i am suspicious because i know what shes likeThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
