Thanks Nic! Just ordered my flowers, getting silk ones from a seller on ebay, they should be here in abour 4 weeks. So excited - this will be the first actual weddingy thing I'll have in the house (besides the STD cards)! Been looking at lanterns for my centrepieces, I was worried that I wouldnt be allowed candles, but I think I can get round that by getting the flameless battery powered ones!0

STD cards sound sooo wrong!
I've got lanterns for my centrepieces (like mining lanterns which ties in the Welsh aspect of our marriage) and i would post a piccie if I knew how...can someone tell me how to please??
and for inside them I have bought these battery operated flickering tealights from ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310352950938?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649#ht_5187wt_1037
gonna surround the base of them with white roses (foam probably) which is the Yorkshire aspect of our marriage
then gonna have it all sitting on a pretty mirror plate with a few scatters0 -

To post a pic it has to be online somewhere. I tend to just copy the picture, and then paste it in with https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2967968:T0

Congratulations, wedding sextuplet(? I've lost count)! We're getting married that day too! :T
After we booked our venue we looked at getting the big things organised: photographer, cars, band (and/ or dj). They tend to get booked up in advance so we didnt want to miss out on the ones we wanted.0 -
Laser- get the things done that you feel you can't be flexible with. If you want a certain band, get them booked, or a certain type of photographer etc. if you can be flexible on it all the food is probably what I would o next (if not included anyway), you don't want hungry guests!
We got our flowers sorted at the weekend!we are having 3 sunflower & rose bouquets for the BMs, a full on autumn one for me (including brandy roses, calla lilies, sunflowers and berries n stuff), 7 calla lily button holes, 1 small arrangement for ceremony n 7 large tall table centrepieces. Oh and 2 other small arrangements for mums houses (MiL2B wanted one no idea why, but then had to get my mum 1 too really...)
Getting them done at wholesale price but as a gift, so whenever we try to acquire about how much (I know calla lilies are expensive retail) I get told as cheap as chips!! N not to worry bout it. I really don't want to take advantage.... It seems like a lot to get for free... They are all going to be made up in the factory as well, o won't need to do anything.
Anyone else got there flowers sorted or quotes? I have no idea what mine would cost from a florist....?!:T0 -
I've ordered silk flowers from a seller on ebay, the bouquets are red, burnt orange and cinnamon coloured roses with burnt orange hyacinths and diamantes. The boutonnieres and corsages are roses with hyacinths, some are ivory roses and some are burnt orange. Thought it would be nice to keep the flowers once we were married and planning on giving the bouquets to the mums and grandmothers. Also, they are cheaper than real flowers and I can be super organised and get them now.0

These sound lovely! Even though my main colour is purple, I quite fancy having a splash of orange/autumnal colours in there to break it up a bit. Not even looked into florists yet, probably really really should but cba with it coming up xmasdoesn't help that I don't live near enough to where I'm getting married to just pop in and see some ideas. I AM visiting home around xmas but mainly visiting on bank holiday days....hmmm...i don't know, think I just need to give myself a kick up the bum and sort it out! lol
ALSO absolutely NOT a clue on prices but looking to get 1 bouquet for me, 2 for BMs, buttonholes x 7, corsages x 2 - have a top table arrangement included in my package up to value £25, so hoping the rest doesn't cost me anymore than £150...but as I said, no idea on costs! lol0
