Yeah I am actually looking forward to going dress shopping with her she used to be a seamstress so has a good eye and will be able to tell if the dress can be altered as I'm a shortie ;) She's using the trip over to get herself a frock as well. Just means I won't be able to start looking for DD's dress until April I dont want to get her something which then doesn't look right with mine.

hi girls, after getting my dress really early I decided to get my daughter to take a picture of me in it to send to my mum who lives in Spain. after seeing the picture I changed my mind about it and my mum has told she wants to come over next April to buy me a new one. Clearly she didn't like it either lol :D I feel happier about it now as I realised I wasn't completely happy with it!!

Luckily the dress was from a Coast Outlet and only cost me £80 so I should get some money back for it on Ebay. I still would like a short dress though but my mum has made me promise to try long ones on as well, so you never it could all change and I could end up with a long dress :)

Try every style on ! I went knowing exactly what i wanted, but when i tried them on i really didnt like any of them , the dress i picked is an amanda wyatt dress and is the total opposite of what i wanted ! i fell in love with it the minute i put it on ,

Oh yes, thats part of the fun, I tried on every style I could get my hands on before going for mine - just to make sure!

Jo, have you thought of buying a wholesale lot of charms from ebay ( the cheapo ones), and putting different coloured ribbons or beads on them? Sometimes you can get little charms like this:

  • Lorna mines Amanda Wyatt too :T

Definitely try different styles on too, I originally wanted a floaty dress but as soon as I tried one on it felt wrong. I've gone for the complete opposite to what I expected-so be prepared to have a surprise! Exciting times :j

I have brought some beads, but I don't want them too fussy. Have what I want at a cheaper price, but still more than I wanted to spend. Buying the charms doesn't really work out that much cheaper, I was in the works today and they were working out at 15p a charm. So I have brought the weird paper, and now I can sell any extra ones I make!
I am thinking I can do special "wedding party" ones. :)

Finally got some planning done! Decided on the invites that I'm using and bought the bridesmaids gifts, or part of them anyway. Also, found a seller on ebay who will do all the flowers that I need (bouquet, 2 BM, 1 FG, boutonnieres, corsages, and altar piece that will double as my table flowers for £150!

Is anyone having groomsmen/ ushers? N what r u getting them. I realise that it should be H2Bs job, but I always do the presents, n can't let him come up with something terrible! But I don't know what to suggest! I want something cheap but not predictable. No cuff links, mugs, glasses etc, as Best Man got us a mug when we got engaged, n they all have cuff link etc... I am stumped! Got 2 physicists, a chemist and an engineer!
