Blackberry 8520 Error message???

Hi
Just wondering if anyone has any idea how to get rid of the
sim not allowed :3
error that has appeared on my phone earlier this evening?? I havent done anything different to my phone except now its not working and i have no idea how to fix it???
Ive emailed orange as I cant ring them off my phone and had no response!!

Any one??

  • Don't suppose there's any chance that you've gone way over your allowance - assuming it's on a contract. My daughter had a similar problem on Vodafone and it turned that they had actually put a stop on calls due to going way over. In the meantime try a hard reset - not sure how to do it on the 8520 just in case it's something as simple as that.

    Maybe you've inserted the sim card incorrectly?

    Or try taking the battery out, put it in again after 30 seconds?

    Or as Highyway61 said, orange may have blocked it if you've gone over your allowance.

    Does emergency calls work?

    Did a hard reset so ended up ringing orange
    Apparently the sim card is fried - thats a technical term :|
    Getting a new one tomorrow night by courier :|
