Any Free Payroll Software around?

use that and you'll have no problem with being up to date

There is nothing wrong with free software in principle (John Gray #3). You just need to find out a bit about it first and see how they make their income. Payroo from www<dot>payroo<dot>com looks quite good. It was written by an accountant, is HMRC approved, and seems to have lots of functionality for free (much more than 12pay gives you for free). It is a cloud system, so you don't download any software onto your computer, you just use your web browser to access it. The advantage of this is that if HMRC changes any of its rules, Payroo will update the system, so that it complies, so you don't have to make sure you have the latest version of the software on your computer as you would for a downloaded package. I haven't used it yet, but I'm going to give it a try out, and will report back. Anyone else used this package yet?

Funnily enough I'm on here looking for an alternative ot Payroo! I've been using them for 8 months. It is absolutely fine until there is a problem and then their customer support is appalling. I guess you get what you pay for (or not pay for in this case!!).
