    just applied for £2500 limit

!!!!! Are you sure? £250 limit, is much more likely. Not that you can apply for a credit limit in the first place that I'm aware of?

Hopefully you'll get £250 though and use it sensibly, BUT IF BY SOME MIRACLE you are actually Jesus Christ and not Hitler and they do award you £2.5k straight off, DON"T USE IT UNLESS YOU CAN CLEAR IT OFF IN FULL EVERY MONTH, the interest would be a killer

    GOOD LUCK :rotfl:

^^ Even Jesus would choke on their criminal rates and only the devil himself would carry a Vanquis "balance".....shudder

  • All cards are interest free if paid in full every month.

Agree that Vanquis is easiest to get. Even my grandfather could get one, and he died twenty years ago.

That's incorrect. With Vanquis, you have to pay 2 bills in full (2 months) before you get the "Up to 56 Days interets free".

Only if you don't pay the first one in full.

But then, that also applies to all credit cards.
  • Hmm I think they've done me out of a couple of quid then :(

thankyou matthewandemma and zx81 for highlighting this particular point for me, i hope i have the issue of having to deal with this particular point if accepted for card as i do intend to use card and pay off in full each month to boost credit rating many thanks.
  • They will also try and sell you a package which allows you to take payment breaks etc.

Just decline all of that and set up a direct debit. I applied for vanquis about 7/8 months ago after I noticed I had hardly any data on my credit report. I am yet to check what my report is like now, but hopefully it will look a bit better :)
