Ryan air - checked in online too early and

My mate is off to spain next week but didnt read the small print correctly and checked in 20 days before the flight.... check in on line is only available 15days in advance. He has however printed boarding passes??
Now ryan air keep sending emails saying check in on line.... so he tried again and... error message!
"The details you entered in order to retrieve your reservation did not match those on record, please varify the information is correct and try again."
It seems once you have checked in thats it???
He is worried he will get to the airport and Ryan air will collar him for some hefty charges.
Anyone had similar issues?? He has sat on the phone trying to get through without any joy on and off today, thought someone may be able to help on here??

Ryanair will send emails to check in even if you have already checked in,your boarding card will have a series number on it of between 1 and 150 if the planes capacity is 150 seats..........i doubt that a boarding card would print if it was not valid....only Ryanair can confirm or deny this.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0

In my experience Ryanair does allow some "stretch" sometimes in being able to print the boarding pass early so your mate may well have managed it.
On the other hand he might be pulling your proverbial for some kind of laugh ... let's face it with Ryanair there is plenty of scope
Ask him does his boarding pass actually say BOARDING PASS in the top left corner. and does it give the flight number, date of flight, departure airport and destination airport?
Ask him what else is on it ... there will be a SEQ. NO. (sequence number). This will be anything from 1 to 189 (the max number of seats). If he really has booked in that early then his SEQ.NO. will probably be 1
(this isn't a seat number of course, just the order in which boarding passes are issued). The booking reference will also be on it.
If he is genuine and still has the boarding pass then no sweat. If he needs a reprint don't panic ... there's several ways of finding the flight again under either the Check In Online or Manage My Booking links.
With that he just needs either the email address that his original Ryanair itinerary email was sent to or indeed to which all these reminders are said to be being sent to plus the name of the departure airport and the destination airport. Nothing else.
OR
With the booking reference he just needs the card number he paid with. Nothing else.
OR
With no booking reference, the email address that Ryanair are using for your mate, the date of the outbound flight or (return for that matter) and the To/From airports. Nothing else.
If he can't show you the boarding pass perhaps he doesn't know what one looks like ! Maybe he thought the itinerary email he got within a short time of booking was the boarding pass - IT ISN'T of course.
Can he forward to you the emails he has received so you can check that they back up whatever he thinks he's got?
If he can't show you the boarding pass or the emails he's received, can he check his card account to see that he actually paid? Quite often the card account transaction via a normal bank shows the booking reference if I recall correctly.
Essentially that error is indeed a standard error if you input any wrong detail (one letter wrong in booking reference e.g. an oh instead of a zero or a one instead of an "I") or if he used a different email address to the one he thinks he used, or he has got dates or airports wrong :eek:0 -
One more thing....has he the boarding passes for the return journey if this was also printed prior to 16 days before the return date,as this is not usualy available.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0

If he has printed his boarding pass than that is what he has done.. The emails are automatically generated regardless of check-in status.Ryanair wrote:Please ignore this email if you have already checked in online and printed your boarding pass.
I've been able to check-in before the alleged time scale and nothing has come of it so don't worry.0 -

i was able to check in online and print out boarding cards for a flight on 12 April on thursday or Fridy of last week which was well outside the 15 day period so tell him not to worry.0
