And the LOVELY Nails Inc purple crackle especially for Sawan :) (hope you got rid of the mice ) MUA silvery grey with the crackle over the top. The NAils Inc version is SO much better and easier to apply than Barry M - have to be careful not to apply it too thick though. Still can't find the 17 crackle in any Boots :(

Ooooh I'm liking that!!! Might have to save up and buy one myself :p The BarryM black crackle worked for me, but i found it a bit thick and gunky to apply.

If you're serious about buying the 17 crackle, you could do the same as me and order it online to be delivered (free) to your local store. That's what I've done - should be ready to pick up on Friday :D

Hi Bev - have to say I'm a wrinkle-phobic, as such if someone tells me a produce will prevent wrinkles I'm willing to try it!! Sad I know - and the origin of a very large stash.

I like arnica and once got several of the other SBC gels in a TSV/OTO and so have tried many. The skin firming really did seem to have an effect on my arms when I was trying to loose weight. Or was that just my mind telling me so???

Have to say I do love Alison! Like the way she will say - if your 20, you done need this - but it could help you if your 35+. Unfortunatly, she does not say - scrappie, you have far too much already, just look in the cupboard/ under the bed and use that first!!! Wish she would - but that's why I have you guys now - right??!!

For the past 4 years I have been lucky enough to get an invite to the beauty bash in London in January. I must say it has always been fab - and have come away with sooooo much stuff each time. I'm talking full size products worth £60+ on the web from several companies. My biggist 'haul' was in 2009 when both mum and I came away with bags full of stuff. Had such fun on the train back north looking to see what we had been given! When we counted the cost it was well over £300 in each bag. Such a good day. BUT I DO NOT NEED IT, AND I WILL NOT MISS IT JAN 2012
    :o

Have never ever got on with any LE product - don't know what's in it, but it's something that makes my skin react.

Love love love Smashbox (have been using it for years as I have family in the USA so am always over there). My other HG product would be ABC tea tree skinwash. Cannot be without it - EVER. If I could only keep one product this would be it.

Will always stick with Tova - I'm known for it at work now. Friends say they can smell when I'm in the department even if they can't see me!! Also, can't believe how many of my patients have commented upon the smell in the early hours of the morning - long after I put it on, so it obviously lasts on me. Friends tend to buy me a lot of the Grace range too - do not like baby grace!!

I think I will always stick to 'premium' brands for much of my skincare in the future, simply because I have such reactive skin that the ingredients in some cheeper brands cause chaos on my skin. That's not to say there are not good cheep brands - I'm just not willing to look hiddious for weeks on end trying to find the one that is right for me.

When I get chance I promise I will list my stash - I know I keep saying it, but life just seems to be getting in the way at the moment.

I think we could become good beauty friends bev!! But be sure to keep me away from 640!!! I'm fine on the high street - honest!!

Happy Belated Birthday fixx! Hope you had a fab day!

I got the 17 silver crackle last Friday! Sorry to report though, it's rubbish :( I was very unimpressed when trying it, and immediately gave it away to my sister. It just doesn't 'shatter' that much, the effect really isn't great, and you can't see much of the colour underneath. We experimented with different thickness layers, but no joy. To be fair, it seemed to get slightly better after an hour or so as it dried out completely I guess. But I wouldn't buy it again.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone, it's a nice change from everyone asking, "So, do you feel old yet? Are the knees going? Any hearing loss?!" :rotfl::rotfl:

    UUs
    - Body shop Pomegranate body butter. WIBA? Yes, yummy. I love most BS butters though :)
    - Pack of face wipes, a random brand from Sainsbury's I think. WIBA? No better than any other wipes, I'll just get whatever I next see on offer.
    - Toothpaste.
    - Sachet of EL pore minimising serum. Wouldn't bother buying it, nothing special.
    - Binned 2 mini Clinique High Impact Curling mascaras. Absolutely rubbish. One of them wasn't even opened, but I could give it away as all my friends hate that one as well. Now replaced with a normal high impact one from the latest bonus time, which is my fave :D How can they get one mascara so right, and another so wrong?!

Sorry I haven't posted all my in's yet - I ended up working really late last night, and just collapsed when I finally got home :( I'm playing Ulitmate Frisbee tonight after work, but if I have time (energy?!) after that I'll post my newest stuff :D

House will be in more chaos than usual over the next few days as my central heating system is being completely replaced.

Because I'm disabled, I get disability living allowance which is a non-means tested benefit to compensate for the extra expenses of being disabled. This entitles me to have the heating done for free under the Government's Warm Front Scheme (you won't be surprised to learn this is being phased out).

I wondered if I would discover any toiletries lurking in corners, as I/son moved furniture and lifted/ rolled back carpets but so far the only discovery has been a Olay Regenerist Flawless SP30 freebie still in its box. It was under my bed, which is relatively new, so I don't think it's old. Which is good as I was wanting to use these for holidays.

My daughter left me a Mum's Day message on the mobile which I didn't access (!) I think she may get me a body butter from the Aldi Lacura Hypoallergenic range that I spotted online....
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

A bit late in the day but I want to list my March UUs and Ins so that you guys can keep an eye on my progress (or not as the case may be).

    UUs (14)

    50 ml FCUK Body Butter
75 ml FCUK Polished Whipped Body Cream
Dove Silk Glow Gentle Exfoliating Shower Scrub
Ted Baker Bodywear Invigorating Body Wash
6 ml sachet of Garnier Intensive 7 days body lotion
Clairol Nice 'n Easy Colour Blend Foam (Light Ash Brown)
Small tube of L'Oreal Derma Genesis Night Cream
    Skin Therapy 3-in-1 facial wipes
The Somerset Toiletry Co. Soap x 2
JF Brilliant Brunette Shine Release Enhancing Shampoo
    Herbal Essences Dry/Damaged Hair Conditioner
500 ml Radox Muscle Soak Herbal Bath
    Simple Deodrant

    Give Aways to Refuge (10)

Boots Mediterranean Olive Wheatgerm and Honey Body Butter
    Natural Collection Passionfruit Shower Gel
    Ted Baker Bodywear Body Spray
    FCUK Polished Body Spray
Boots Royal Jelly Face Cream x 2
    Chilli Pepper Lip Gloss
    Simple Rich Repair Conditioner
    Next Bubble Bath
No 7 Protect and Perfect Eye Cream

    Ins (6)

Clinique High Impact Mascara (magazine freebie)
    Clinique Moisture Surge (magazine freebie)
6 ml sachet of Garnier Intensive 7 Days Body Lotion (magazine freebie)
Clairol Root Touch Up (x 3) (Lloyds sale - £3)

Even without taking into account the giveaways, I've UU more than I've added to the stash and so I'm pleased. Total spend for the month was £3. I will probably be using my Groupon in April and so I expect to have more ins this month - I will therefore include the cost of the Groupon to the April spend.

    Hi everyone.

I have a couple of UU to report

1- Asda's young skin Matt Fresh Moisturiser (I know this is geared to
teenagers and I am in my 20's but it is really good so I don't care) WBA and have started the next one now :)

2- Next hand creame which I have been using as a body lotion. WNBA - it was pretty standard stuff and I have many others to use up before having to buy anything like that again.

I briefly tried the 17 crackle on one nail, and I can see what fixx means. I'll try it out again properly tonight hopefully, and see if it's any better.

All this talk of nail varnishes is making my fingers itch.. :D

As for the mice, still not caught one, but not spotted anymore droppings :(
