This is going to be a long post (and that's only replying to one days posts!!)

Firstly hugest *hugs* to everybody, you've all been my support and still are, and I appreciate more than I can say. You all keep me going.

trudij - hun you have been so lovely. So please don't think you weren't sympathetic enough or anything silly like that. Huge hugs to you. And no, I don't think loves young dream are normally at home separately on 3rd day at all. So hoping all our vibes are making him see sense. It's easy to say that somebody isn't right, but it's how you feel inside when you see that person I think that tells you how you feel, iykwim?

Afternoon tea was really nice, I felt a bit upset sometimes but 'stiff upper lip' saw me through! Just not quite over feeling sick everytime I eat which is a shame as the last servings were amazing looking cakes.. :) I did enjoy myself, my and my bff from uni went to our old uni after and just sat on the lawn remembering all our crushes (there were quite a few :p)

rachel - you are really strong, and we're all here for you anytime you need us. I'll be keeping your family in my prayers hun *hugs*

UP vs Toy Story 3 - I'm going to rock the boat, but after the first toy story, never watched the other two completely, but I loved UP :)

thevicster - new nail varnishes? yay! I'm going to get rid of the ones that have gone beyond control, tried to use a rimmel one yesterday but had fluff in it or brush is falling apart, had to take it all off in the end (but I think I have a duplicate of that :o) As for Zumba, I've pre-ordered the PS3 one from Sainsburys Ent. - had a £10 code for when they cancelled my order for Sports Active 2 - so got it for £20 and should be here on release date of 28th - will let you know what it's like.

Absinthe - shall we come round and pelt the neighbours with our old toiletries (and nail varnishes in my case)?? :D

Kaz - loved the dress and all the pics! I'm not really a clothes buyer, but I'm hoarder like a few others here. Should really get rid of all the stuff I don't wear. I feel happy when I open my wardrobe and see my beautiful traditional outfits & saris though :) Hope DD is feeling better today.

sarah - when I spoke to my provider they said they couldn't do anything except change my phone number  I don't want to do that for loads of reasons. One I don't want to stress my parents out with the reason for it (and they would find out) and two that's my number from years. Why should I change it because of a nutcase? They should be able to look into for me and block it. Way to go on getting rid of inefficient staff :rotfl: She's probably just off this week for an extended holiday :)

Fiasco - From what I remember Glasgow has a large Asian population (though I could be totally wrong :o) - if there's any places that do threading or waxing you could try there? I drive to East London (about 25 mins from work) to get my eyebrows threaded - eyebrows = £4.00 :)

Mags - I think you're right hun. Hoping May is so much better than April or any other month so far this year *fingers crossed*

    Rosemary - welcome back!

Juliebunny - I feel like that every spring - yet I'm never convinced it's hayfever

vivh - I hope everything's ok and you're feeling better *hugs*

xoxo - I totally totally love the nail varnish pic :D

As this post is pretty long there's a part 2 - sorry guys :o

Been feeling a bit 'sick' the past few days so thought I'd have an early night yest (about 11). Get into bed, so tired, legs aching from all the walking Sat and Sun, couldn't sleep. Fall asleep, then I can hear something. I moved and it stopped. I'm guessing it was a mouse from the noise. It just couldn't be anything else. This carried on for a little while, I tried swearing at it, but it was immune to my obscenities. Then becoming a kid again (and my parents are away), my duver, pillow and I moved to my parents room. Ticking from the clocks. It's about 2.30 now. Fall asleep, wake up about half 3. Mouse-like sounds again. Swear at it again, think there's nowhere else to sleep and at least now it doesn't sound like it's right next to me. Fell asleep, 5 am, phone calls. 6.30 am cramp in leg followed by me moving in pain then pulling the muscle. So I'm now going to *try* to sleep.

    UU
Lush Sex Bomb ballistic - WIBA? It didn't smell anything special to me, so quite simply no.

    Binned:
Maybelline Define a Volume mascara in brown - totally dried up. Opened a brown No7 Exceptional Definition one now.

I'm so sorry for the huge posts ladies!

Hugs to anybody I may have missed or anyone who wants one anyway :)

  • Hi everyone!

I went home for the weekend on Friday night and this is the first time I have been on since - what a lot I have missed!

Had a very quick skim of some posts = trudij sorry to hear about your situation :(

XOXO - I am about to email you re the facebook group - it sounds like an amazing idea!!

I have a couple of UU to report: a FCUK body butter/lotion from a gift set. WIBA? probably not as I found it a bit too greasy on my skin.
Also, a Batiste dry shampoo-the pink one. WIBA? Yes I would, will need to pick one up tomorrow actually as I don't have any in my stash!

Going to try and read through a few more posts before heading to my bed xxxx

I find the FCUK ones greasy too Sundance, I think it's what's given me spots on my arms :( Blerghhh! :rotfl:

If i've added anyone on Facebook and not invited you to the group yet please shout at me! I'm trying to do it as we become friends but i'm not known for my togetherness so may have missed someone :o :rotfl:

Can anyone recommend a good base coat? My nv is peeling off  I only did it a few days ago so would like it to last longer than that without peeling like the cheap kiddy ones :( Any fabulous recommendations? :p

Um, I always wipe over my nails with nail varnish remover before applying any nail varnish. This ensures that there is no grease present on the nails and I don't tend to have any problems with peeling nail varnish.
I do have issues with NV staining my toe nails though :) but am not worried enough to go to the extra faff of using a base coat. I always have NV on anyhoo so I only see it when I'm changing colours :D
I'm absolutely shattered having only just realised the time so morning all, I'm orf to bed.

    I LOVE that stuff!!! xxx

I love the BS Shea Butter stuff too - can't wait to go back home for Easter as there's a set of shea butter products waiting for me there :D

    So many posts each time I catch up that I'm sure I can't remember everything I want to say, but;

Rachel - So sorry to hear about your mum. Have everything crossed for you that she'll be ok.

Sawan - Stalker sounds like a right idiot. Can you find out from the phone company who is calling? Is there anyway maybe to get a friend to phone them from a different/withheld number and pretend to have a wrong number or something, maybe see if you can get a name out of them?

Trudij - men. Not sure what else there is to add to that...

    Ok, so some UU to report;
John Freida Volume Shampoo - WBA as it's one of my favourites that doesn't weigh my hair down. I have another full size in my stash.

Aussie 3 Min Miracle sachet - WIBA - not sure - I think it did make my hair softer and nice, but then my boyfriend told me my hair smelt like I hadn't washed it!:rotfl:So maybe not...

Arm & Hammer Toothpaste - WIBA - no, but not a purchased in - was a load of freebies. I guess it does the job, but if I'm buying I'll stick to my Colgate/Sensodyne faves. But have some more of these to finish up in the meantime!

Molton Brown Vitamin shower gel - WIBA - no, not at that price. It was fine, a fairly unisex smell and did the job of cleaning me, but too expensive for what I'd consider nothing special.

Nivea Pearl deod spray mini- WIBA - maybe. I tend to use stick/roll on deodorants, but this was a handy size, and I think it worked ok.

OK, and an IN, kind of - after recommendations I bought a Body Shop Facial Brush on Sunday. As it's more an implement than toiletries I'm hoping I can avoid the naughty step :p But have to say - I used it once last night and LOVE IT!! Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I'm sure my pores on my nose/chin look smaller and less congested, and skin definitely felt very clean and smooth afterwards. Am off to get ready for bed, so will use it again - am determined to use it regularly to see what difference it does make.

Just a thought - with our sparkly new facebook swapsies group, do we have to declare them as naughty-steppable ins? technically we're not buying new toiletries, as swapping we're helping each other out and not actually increasing the stashes... what does everyone else think? Or should there be a 'naughty step lite' for new but free stuff? :D

I use the Nails Inc Kensington Caviar one and their top coat. Both very good products.

I painted my nails last night and am now wearing OPI Lunch at the Deli.
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8D5qVf5VMxs/R6qraewujZI/AAAAAAAACbw/a2OsakJjW4A/s1600-h/lunchatthedelhi.jpg - not my nails, just a swatch I found online. Love this coral and will repurchase if it's still available when I run out. It's actually the only coral that works for me. Most make my skin look dirty IYSWIM.

Used the new Goodworks products last night and must say I am very impressed with the dry skin oil. My face feels so soft today.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
