Hi,
im getting a little confused here, i wanted to cancel talktalk today because my bt bb activates this evening but when i rang talktalk they told me my line would get seized and bt will charge me for opening a new one?
Also they said that i would have to pay my canceling fee by direct debit even though ive already been told it would be sent out in the post by paper bill.
Please help.

Have you had your phone line and broadband moved over to BT from Talk Talk? In which case it will cease so no need to cancel.
Also you should no if when you signed up to bt they said there was a fee or not.In Progress!!!0 -

Hey,
i only have broadband with talktalk my line is already with bt, the lady i was talking to when ordering from bt said nothing about any fees.
Ok i phoned talktalk again and the man said he tryed canceling it but there was an error but he told me that he will cancel it for today... Guess i'll just have to take his word and keep an eye on my direct debits now, and im getting a last bill then a final paper bill now well so he said. :mad:0 -
Did you not use a MAC from TT to migrate to BT? If not, you'll get a £25 cease charge from TT, which you could have avoided by using the correct procedure.
You need to give TT 30 days notice of cancellation, assuming that you are out of contract. If you are not OOC, you'll get an ETC charge on top of the cease charge. No free lunch, and no free laptop
