If you have spent over a 100 pounds on a pile of rubbish and the seller was being rude you'd understand why I want to see justice. But thanks for the input.

I didn't say that I misunderstood your point of view. But you have asked for advice and have been given it. Like it or not.

As you are already totting up your time etc, then believe me, Paypal and Ebay disputes are a walk in the park compared to SOGA and DSRs.

You should be able to get a courier for £8ish, possibly cheaper if you look at the courier thread on here.

Also when you do have a refund you can vent your frustration by leaving a well worded negative to warn other buyers.

Seller has now told Paypal I have sent abusive emails! He sent abusive ones to me and I have kept to the point even when provoked. Good grief I will NEVER buy from someone with less than 99.9% feedback again.

If your buying APPLIANCES don't go to eBay period! Go to Argos, cheap, guaranteed, no problem.

It was second hand so about 1/2 price. Though as it is so battered it is not worth it. He keeps says bits on in a new, but I think he must mean replaced with other secondhand bits because they are not new.

I have reluctantly agreed to have a refund minus the £20 it will cost me to send it back. Sale of Goods Act and Ebay/Paypal do not mix, BEWARE!

Whoa! Who are you using for it to cost that much (ParcelFarce by any chance)?! I would have thought you can get it sent for less than £10 - try Parcel2go or Parcelmonkey.

Parcel force was 15 plus extra 5 becasue the box he used was deemed too flimsy so I had to buy a bigger one. Just gets better and better! Don't have time to sit around waiting for parcels to go just to save 10 pounds, but thanks foir the advice.

When you say "reluctantly agreed to a refund minus the cost to send it back", I don't understand that bit.

Is he offering a refund minus his costs to send it to you in the first place?

Or did you mean it's a full refund of £112.50, and you will have to spend £20 sending it back?

The seller is a real Ebay type, called someone who gave a negative a "moron". You can understand why "pippa0" is upset, it's like being scammed and the seller will probably do it again to someone else.

OP, you came here asking for advice on returns, but particularly how you can recoup the returns postage.

That is a very odd statement when you were initially going to spend time enforcing DSR/SOGA to save that money in the first place.
