I am a seasoned Ebay seller for quite a few years and the last year went business. I sell old enamel badges that are 100 genuine and in excellent condition. As new. I have 100% feedback and send free postage in the UK. My prices are one of the lowest.
I see others selling the same badges for around £3.50 more PLUS charging a pound for postage in the UK. I cannot fathom why they are selling much more than me. I don't get it.

Because they show up in the searches and you do not?
Ebay is not a level playing field."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Are you saying that some sellers have a better chance despite my keywords being correct ?0

Perhaps as your prices are lower buyers are assuming they are reproductions rather than originals. Try putting your prices up on a few auctions and see what happens!0

I can think of a few reasons that may or may not apply to your case:
- they have 1000s more fb than you
- they come up higher on best match searches (as mentioned above), you need to try and search for your item using bm
- they have better pics/description
- they are trs
- they have more repeat business.
- they post faster (e.g. first v. second class)
I would say the first three are the most common reasons.0 -

I mean selling the higher priced ones by looking at their sales history and what price they went for.
My pics are very good. I have over 3000 feedback and my lists come up in all the searches.0 -

Yes.
There's all sorts of reasons why your items don't come up, have a look at auctionbytes and the "Optimizing eBay's Search as a Seller" article."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

You may want to have a look at this Ebay tool which helps with what keywords are really working http://labs.ebay.com/erl/demoto/to?0

If you price yourself too cheaply, people might assume your items are fake or poor quality, particularly if they are collectible. Try raising the price on one of your popular listings closer to or the same as a competitor and see what happens.
Its been said before that cheapest doesn't always mean more sales on ebay.0 -
