What was the value of your order with Chain Reaction Cycles?

    Did you receive the goods?

Does Chain Reaction show on your bank/credit card statement?

Are there any other transactions to this 'mystery' name?

L B Southwark, or Southwark TT?

Have you contacted CRC yet? The order may have been delayed (I'm guessing it's a bike?!), but if you've only got work email they may have tried to contact you to tell you they've sourced one from somewhere else & it will be delivered soon???

If you've bought something for £700 from CRC and it's shown up as another company, then they're just using a separate firm for payment processing.

No I don't think this is correct. Chain Reaction Cycles customers have been defrauded of vast amounts of money recently, if something seems wrong with them atm, it probably is. Further, there is a reference to L B Southwark TT on here http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/08456031755/5 in relation to unrelated fraud

It's fraud, contact the card company and get the card cancelled and the money refunded.
  • There was a card payment out of my account this week to "L B Southwark TT" for £200 pound. Once I notified Santander they cancelled my cards, they said the payment was to London Boroughs. Santander were shy to give me details on refunding my money, all they would say is they have to investigate it first. They said the payment was either made online or over the phone.

I used Chain Reaction Cycles once a few months ago and the transaction appeared as “CRC”.

Buying bicycles from the net is a dim thing to do for lots of reasons. Get down to your local shop and haggle a good deal, the bike will get set up properly and will have a free service after 6 weeks, and you will have sound advice and customer service and be able to try the size before purchase.
  • I too have had a debit from my account from L B Southwark tt, no ideo who they are, havent used my bank card to pay for anything online in weeks. I have informed my bank who have cancelled my card, and the fraud team are investigating it

its not limited to the UK people in other countries (usa) have had money debited from their accounts taken from london.

    time to call your bank.

i'm glad i have a PO account, no online banking no online purchasing, and no withdrawing from dodgy cournershop atm's. pay my bills all with payment cards, so when i get paid they get paid.
  • Not just UK and USA - the fraud is also taking place in Australia, we had $1737 and $1860 illegally charged on the same day in Feb 2011, over a year after we had cancelled the credit card and emigrated. Both transactions are to "L B SOUTHWARK – TT" whom I have never heard of until I did a google search.

We're now contesting the charges, but the bank has already decided one of the charges in its own favour.
