Anyone else been affected by the BT Outage?

When I moved to Fast they managed to impove the speed to about double that of Pipex from around 0.9 to 1.8mps over exactly the same line, so I'm not convinced the line is the only important factor. Doesn't contention ratio and traffic management matter?

Sky, O2, TalkTalk, Three and Vodafone have also signed up the scheme, with the firms saying the new policy will help customers understand why they vary speeds

Fast claim they don't restrict speeds.

It would cost £13.50 a month plus a £25 connection fee with O2, this is little different than my present contract with Fast. I can't really benefit much from bundles.

It would be worth it if the speed was similar, and provide prompt help on a local number as I can with Fast, on the basis they don't experience the same outages.

Why do they offer 20Gb then say this is suitable for those who 'occasionally search the web if I want to research products or services.'

I am on the web much of the day and rarely approach 10Gb!
