Paypal disputes.......
I have 1 dispute left from a number of disputes outstanding from 24 Sep 2006. It was never resolved within Paypal. Paypal sold the debt to a collection agency and I paid up.
It never got removed from my Paypal account.
THe figures became such a mess because Paypal charged me various amounts for different periods, then sold some of the debt on and charged some to my Paypal account instead.
I still have all the paperwork and receipts from the collections agency from 2006.
3 of the 4 cases were closed. But none of the figures make any sense when you look at what was sold to the collectors vs what I actually owed.
So I left it until they chased me further. But they never have since then.
My Paypal account is still restricted since 24 Sep 2006.
My question is......How long can this "debt" be outstanding before it get written off? (if it CAN EVEN BE written off)

It becomes unenforceable in court after 6 years. Nothing precludes a collections agency from permanently chasing you for the debt until it is repaid.Best Regards

thanks for the info guys.
So what rights do the collections company have if they sold the debt on again after the 6 years? You can't beat an egg.........................NO WAIT!0 -
After 6 years they can try and chase you for it but if you have not acknowledged it in 6 years it becomes Statute Barred (worth a search on the forum for that phrase),0
