    Hi Guys Dad,

Yes very keen on the HTC, I've been looking at handsets for a while and just find that I seem to get on quite well with the HTC. The previous LG I had I couldn't get on with that well, and I've ruled out the Samsung Galaxy because of the lack of Flash on the camera.

What is UMA - is that something to do with boosting signal?

    Thanks.

Yes, quite right. Unique to Orange, although Vodafone have a chargeable alternative.

Bad news is it is only available on certain handsets - mainly Blackberry - and it is not guaranteed to be 100% reliable, although mine is pretty good.
  • Ah okay, fair enough. Sounds like a useful tool to have. I find being able to switch between Orange and T-Mobile quite useful.

Just to be clear ... don't ring and say you want to upgrade. Say you are ringing for your PAC. Even if they say ok and send it out you can ignore it. It's asking for it that gets you through to the right dept.

Also you can get better than advertised deals by ringing up. I ended up leaving Orange (because of low signal) and moved to Vodafone. I rang them and got a Desire/300mins/texts/500mb for £20/mth ... which is far better than anything they offer on their website.
