I'm with CFC. Some bint my girlfriend knew sent chocolate coated plastic spoons for xmas a few years ago. Waste of time!0

were they just plastic coated spoons or did they come with anything. I am planning on making a few with metal spoons to go in a hot chocolate set I am putting together0
-
Just plastic coated spoons, with a few sugar stars on them, wrapped up in cellophane and a ribbon.
Must've cost her more to make and send them than a bar of chocolate.0 -
well I don't see the point in those.
I wouldn't send them on their own as it would just make no sense.0 -
Well, to be honest I don't think much made sense to her. She was a bit dim to say the least0

You seem to be overlooking the fact that thought and effort are priceless items.
Although in the US you can buy these kinds of spoons ready made:-

They look really good. I musn't have a very good imagination because for the life of me i just thought everyone was talking about a bit of chocolate on a spoon. They really do look brilliant. I am almost inspired to go and make some.Thank youWhen life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile0 -
well i too think they are a nice idea
obviously not plastic disposable spoons
either normal tea spoons or the long handled ones ,can get 3 teaspoons for 30p in hyper value
anyone seen bargain long handled ones anywhere ?0 -
Now I have to say those spoons have a SERIOUS amount of chocolate on them. With a mug or a set of some kind that would be pretty nice.
Emily you and I had the same thought, I was visualising a thin coating of chocolate on a spoon, like when you get chocolate dipped strawberries, with a set wrapped in cellophane as a present on its own!
Actually essex and chocmonster, I'm really easy to shop for on a budget - chocolate coated cinnamon sticks would have been appreciated, you get the choc flavour and the cinnamon flavour too and you just throw the used up stick away afterwards!
But you're wrong about the old people - the powers that be explained again and again what it was for, but they just couldn't work out why they were looking through other people's rubbish - generation gap!0
