I think if you go through the education part of the apple website then the £8 off code doesnt work...0
-
it does. try all of them, i eventually found one that worked from these forums...
can anyone give me some advice please?
thanks0 -
Just tried all the codes, the one that works for £8 off with or without student discount is SURLDLMQUA
I am still confused though, does the USB cable supplied with the apple store ipod's charge the ipod too?
Thanks0 -
I have an ipod, (20Gb, 3G), and it came with a FIREWIRE ADAPTER.
When that is connected to the pc, it charges the i-pod.
Unfortunately I cannot tell you if the same applies with the USB, although I would THINK that it does.
Suggest you look here:

for the definitive andswer (or of course e-mail APPLE directly), furthermore, there is this product
http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/dock800/index.php
which, for $15 gives you a FIREWIRE cable, which is CONSIDERABLY faster in synchronising the files on iTunes with the iPod.
Hope that helps! One day I want to be the pigeon...... and not the statue!0 -

I know that with the new one, the usb charges the ipod and you can use the £8 off the £139 on the apple store, so I would get the new one just for the extra battery life.2008 Club Member: 433

I just rang John Lewis and mentioned that it says free delivery at the top of the ipod page and they dropped the delivery - so down to £125 and £10 off with voucher0
