Buying Vodafone contract via Quidco?

Hi, first time user to quidco, looking for some advice on buying a new Vodafone contract.

Specifically, its the £90 cashback for a contract (pay monthly) phone sale.
Is it really that simple that you click on the link on quidco and then it will track you? How do you know if its happening?
Are there any codes to enter before or after signing up with Voda?
Does this specific £90 cashback apply to all contracts, even those with free phones?

I’ve read some replies on here about voda being slow to pay up, so I’m prepared for that.

Thanks in advance...

  • Vodafone are also a terrible company to deal with, they were once great but now completely useless. Read some of the complaints about them, their customer service is a joke and they regularly overcharge on their bills.

I cant wait for my contract to finish so I can stop giving them my money!
  • Lol, after replying I looked at the other topics on the first page of this board, 3 of them were about how terrible vodafone are!

Take a look at this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/295048

    As I said, avoid!

    Not that simple

Yes, excluding iphones (as stated at Quidco)

    Ok. Thanks for the replies.
I have read the links and also take on board that vodafone aren't the best payers but if I was going to buy this anyway its worth a shot!

Can you just confirm that I've got it right with respect to the buying and linking process from quidco...

Best to clear cookies and history.
Log into quidco and click on the link to the regular voda website (even if it goes to the Vodafone homepage) and proceed to buy as normal?
    No codes or anything?

From this, I take it I don’t have any way of knowing when placing the order that voda know I’ve come via quidco? I assume this is normal procedure and you just get the tracking later?
    (Sorry for asking first-timer questions!!!)

    Use IE.
I prefer using TCB instead of Quidco if cashback is the same. They are more reliable (IMO) and will send you a e-mail as soon as (if) the cashback is tracked.

I would avoid Quidco at all costs as they have failed to track and pay me on two seperate occassions on purchases that met their criteria and when questioned fob you off repeatedly until you eventually give up!

You're not alone in that (except mine tracked but was unjustifiably declined and Quidco did zilch - continuing to actively promote regular offers from the very same merchant). Stick to Topcashback - not perfect but a damned site better than Quidco nowadays.

I have had three things so far fail to track via Quidco an had to raise queries against these.

Luckily I had all pay eventually, but as you can't send a query until a certain date, retailer dependant, I can see how you could forget and mis it if you aren't on the ball.

    It's not about forgetting.

    £45 declined by BF.
Quidco's CS (Dominic) is absolutely useless and helpless.
"I can appreciate..., I appreciate...., I do appreciate..., I am sorry..."
Loads of useless words, inability or unwillingness to communicate with BF.
Do you want to see the entire correspondence? You will not see anything besides the above. Regardless of any proofs available they blatantly refuse to communicate with the retailers, i.e. protect their customers.

I have to absolutely agree with that. Lots of soothing words and promises but no action or genuine attempt to protect their customers (no longer "members"). How can an organisation which is constantly harping on about how much it does for people allow genuine, long-term and extremely loyal customers to end up feeling as I and many others do? Water off a duck's back to them despite the usual noises on here when people go public.
