I owe ebay a reimbursement am i in the wrong?

Basically my original account was suspended i wont go into that but i made another account under a fake name but all of my details as they wouldnt give me my account back. I sold something for £84 and shortly after my paypal account was limited for no reason. The buyer of the item returned it for a refund but i wasnt able to refund them as my account is limited! So instead ebay have refunded them and i now owe ebay the reimbursement. I would be willing to pay this but it wont let me as the account is suspended and i have tried explaining this to them. Apprarently if i refuse to pay they will get dept collecters on me i am wondering if they have a leg to stand on as paypal have the money they are after! any advice would be appreciated

Harsh, but you have what you deserve.

You have fraudulently opened an account giving a false name and wonder if they have a leg to stand on? You were previously suspended but wont go into details.

You won't find much sympathy here and probably less help.

You breached their terms and conditions. Paypal can hold your money for 180 days, ebay may not wait that long.

If you have an outstanding balance with ebay, ring them with a debit card and repay it.

Paypal have not stolen from you but hold your money. Why were you suspended? This is quite probably very relevant. Unless you are prepared to be completely truthful you will not get any relevant replies.

You cannot avoid paypal fees. You can avoid eBay fees by various devious means. What exactly happened.

If we can help, we will.

Was this the transaction that got your first account suspended or the second?

The problem is, that to be suspended it takes more than the odd negative. So what happened to cause the negative is what closed your account.

eBay and paypal then monitor pc, isp and other things to ensure you don't just start again (as you did). If you do, and can get away with it, it won't be for long, as you have found out. Paypal then freeze your money and ebay wont listen to a word you say.

The only thing I can suggest is to pay the eBay bill via a debit card and then try and sort out the paypal problem. You need to ring them and explain that you did wrong etc etc. Unless you left the last paypal account in a negative balance, then you have not lost your £84, it is being held by them.
