You were right Firesidemaid, she has cystitis. She was given a steroid injection and she has antibiotics to take for ten days. She has been put on a Royal Canin diet for felines with dodgy bladders. It was all very expensive but I am pleased she is still with us. After 18 years, we would be lost without her.

It should be a NSD today. I need to start keeping track of them and trying to increase how many I manage in a month.

It's DD's 11th birthday tomorrow and she is very excited. I can't believe that my little baby will be 11. It's all make up and hair straighteners and eyebow waxing now. They are not little children for long any more. :)

I managed my NSD and amazingly DH managed one too, because he forgot to take any money to work. Off to hide his wallet.....:)

DD was a very happy girl (young lady) when she went to school this morning. Her birthday cake is baking in the oven at the moment. Hopefully she will be pleased with it.

I have checked the mortgage account this morning and the overpayments for February amount to £624.59 which is my personal best!! :j

I had a lady knock at the door this morning and ask me whether I could look after her cats whilst she is away in April. I just couldn't say no. At least they are lovely cats. DH will be annoyed with me as I am supposed to have given up my pet business. I can pop into their house after the school run so no big deal.

    Off to check the cake......

I checked the mortgage account again today (it's my daily addiction) and noticed that I was not charged any interest for yesterday.

    Thank you Nationwide - I saved £3.94 :j

It’s been quiet here. I have been quite poorly this week and have hardly worked at all. My lovely neighbours have been doing the school run. I am slightly better today though and hope this is the beginning of the end of this latest rough patch. I missed a friends Pampered Chef party, which is bad because I was looking forward to going, but good because I didn’t spend anymoney.

Three weeks today we will be going on holiday so I have had to spend lots of money, on attraction tickets (got the best deal possible courtesy of this site so thank you), taxis for the airport run and have bought currency. The credit card is high again but I know it will be worth it and we will have a great time. Even if I am unwell, we have a house all to ourselves so I can chill out whilst the kids play in the pool or in the games room. It’s going to be a hectic three weeks of work leading up to the holiday so I shall need the rest.

I am dreading NW putting up their mortgage rates. I know it’s only a matter of time and we are so lucky to be on their SVR of 2.5% but I view every rate rise as my mortgage free date getting further away. So order of priorities should be

    1) Have a great holiday and not fret about spending money, enjoy ourselves

    2) Get back and clear credit card of all holiday expenditure

    3) Focus all efforts on overpaying mortgage

I am really pleased that we have managed to overpay by over £1000 already this year.

Poorly !!!!! cat again :( She finished her course of antibiotics on Wednesday. Today she is vomiting violently and peeing blood again. She has had two injections and is back to the vet on Monday for a blood test.

I am feeling sad today. Missy, my cat, seemed much better after having a long term antibiotic injection at the weekend. She had a blood test yesterday and I expect to get the results this afternoon. However, this morning she threw up her breakfast again.

I am sort of dreading the blood test results. It's obvious something is not right, but she seems perky, alert and very affectionate for most of the time. I will be heartbroken if we have to let her go.

oh hello, i feel for you and your cat.

i know that up and down feeling too.

our elderly cat used to often bring his food up - we started worrying recently when he stopped doing that. we think the start of dementia for him and he is not himself today.

if missy seems ok in herself, then hopefully her bloods will show that. maybe it's a stone or an infection that requires a further antibiotic?

    thinking of you x
