Duplicate item delivered unexpectedly

Because from the many complicated dealings I have had with them in the past I wanted advice from sensible people on how best to proceed. As I and a previous poster have said, phone calls do not often achieve the desired result.
If you don't have anything helpful to say then why get involved? It is people like you that make people wary of coming onto a forum and asking for help.
My question, if you had taken time to read it properly, was could I insist that a third party courier sign a document to prove that I had returned the phone. This has not happened to me before and we are talking about a high value item that I cannot afford to end up being charged for due to someone else's incompetence.0 -
Just ring em up the once and inform them of the situation. Then put the duplicate phone somewhere where it won't accidentally get used. If they choose not to chase it up, then that's up to them. But make sure you note the time and date of the call, and the name of the person to whom you spoke. One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

What Company is it?0

Can you not take it into one of their shops and deliver it to the Manager, requesting a receipt before you hand it over?0

I suppose I could. I hadn't thought about that. If they don't get back to me I'll think about popping in if I'm passing. I'm not going out of my way using my petrol and parking fees to rectify their mistake.0 -
To those of you who offered helpful advice I thank you, but the matter is now closed. I did not come on here to be insulted and I will not make the mistake of asking for help here again.0

I hope you manage to get it all sorted ok.
Don't worry too much about the Trolls on here - some people just can't help themselves. Don't rise to their baiting.
Good luck :T“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -
Hi all,
There's nothing wrong with the first post, it's a reasonable question. As in "How do I make sure that I return something in such a way that an obviously incompetent company cannot refute the return?"
Most of us arrived here originally to find a deal or to find help. Many members regularly offer help to others, day in day out, despite the background noise from posters who have no help to offer at all.
If you can't post something constructive - move on.
I'll remind members once again of our forum rule:-_Forum_Team wrote:Please be nice to all MoneySavers. That’s the forum motto. Remember the prime aim is to help provide info and resources.
