App lock for Blackberry
App Lock for blackberry
Thread Stats
Hi
Has anyone tried this app and does it work ? Teenager says she wants to keep siblings/pals out of txts/bbm/emails, but I suspect it's really me she wants to lock out lol.
Apart from the phone lock I believe the blackberry has no other password protection.
Not being greatly up on these things, would welcome any comments.
Thanks in advance

I have iLock and iBlockerPro on my Torch, these are paid for Apps. iLock has been updated, unfortunately it's a step back in that you can't lock the App it's self.
I would also recommend Blackberry Protect which is free. It backs up your phone automatically and can find your phone if it's lost. You can also remotely lock and delete your details.
You can password protect your Blackberry go Options > Security and there is a list from Password > Advanced Security Settings.0 -
Many thanks for that info, I'm assuming you mean if you can't lock the app, you could alter the settings yourself? It would do her anyway, she's never got it out her hands long enough for anyone to reset it!
I'll note the other things u suggested too, thanks so much for replying.0 -

Before the upgrade on iLock you could lock the App itself but now you can't and as you quite rightly guessed anyone can change the settings which rather defeats the object!
iBlockerPro blocks unknown/with held numbers and any numbers you put on a blacklist. For instance if your daughter falls out with a friend (as they do!!) and she is receiving nuisance calls add them to the black list and they are blocked until they become friends again (as they do!!).
There's lots of free ones I have, Battery Watch, I.C.E. In Case of Emergency, Weather Bug, and if she eats Subway there is an App for it so you don't need your card.0 -
Oh it all sounds great, I'm sure she'll use all the apps u suggested. The blocking one sounds good- sounds like you know teenagers too lol.
Think I'll save up for one myself ! A blackberry that is, not a teenager lol.
Many thanks for your help again.0
