time waster!!!

i sold an item item ebay for £15.
buyer emailed me :

hey im really sorry about this but im afraid i have to pull out of the auction because of finance issues. Im sorry for the inconvenience and hopefully can do business again soon. i will put positive feedback if you do the same.
Thank you :)

i thought it was ok , at least he did let me know.

However i just checked his feedback. He purchased another item and paid it very quickly today!!!
I know i have to wait 4 days for NPB. Can he leave neg feedback and what would you do?
thanks

How do you know he paid today, and not that the seller only just left him feedback saying quick payment? Most sellers only leave feedback after the buyer does, so they probably actually bought that item last week.

And yes, they can leave negative feedback. You can't though.

Be honest in your feedback. You did nothing wrong, the buyer was in the wrong. I wouldn't go all out with bashing them but honesty has to be the best way otherwise they will keep bidding on multiple items to get the best deal.
You know that they bought another item however you dont know how many other sellers they left in the same position as you!

They can't leave you negative feedback as you didnt do anything. You could always put that you appreciated that they contacted you straight away however that doesnt take away from the fact that they bidded on more than one item and didn't pay for it when they won. Essentially wasting your time!

Yes they can - they can actuall ydo anything they want and unless you can olrove it's not truen or not factual and doesn't break any of the other rules it won't be removed.
File for a mutual cancellation - you can do this straight away then put it down to experience.

If you open a NPB dispute after 4 days, they will get a strike unless they decide to pay. Once they get 2 they will have effectively banned themselves from buying on lots of peoples listings.
Make sure that you have your buyer requirements set tight.
As a seller you can only leave + FB or none at all.

I don't think they can if you go through NPB, I sold a car last year that wasn't paid for or collected & the buyer left a neg, once I won the case it was removed.

if they dont pay and leave a neg ebay will remove it when the NPB thing concludes..
you could do a mutual but if they dont agree you cant do an NPB
    personally do an NPB

This happened to me a while back, and just put it down to experience and waited 4 days to file an NPB. At least he/she sent you an email to let you know - I waited for 3 days before I heard anything. I guess that is the risk with ebay selling.

Definitely go the NPB route. Yes, on the one hand he was up front and told you, but on the other he made an indirect threat of a neg unless you leave a positive. Not to be trusted and deserves a strike IMO.

As others have suggested to me on here, file the NPB and if he queries it, act naive and say ebay told you you needed to do it to get your fees back.

If he negs you it will be removed as long as he doesn't pay.
