Selling old IT equipment - help?!

It sounds like you need an adapter/charger for the Dell laptop so it's more than just a cable. If you search google for Dell Inspiron 6400 adapter many hits are shown and prices range from about £7 to about £40+ from Dell. Amazon sell a cheap one but reading the reviews suggests it is very cheap quality and requires a power cable.
There seem to be quite a few which claim to be official Dell adapters but turn out to be only poor quality copies.Firemunchkin wrote: »REALLY?! Where is the best place to sell?
I doubt you will get £200 for it, they can be purchased on eBay for a lot less.

He should get in the range of £150 - £200 for it on ebay, cheapest on buy it now is approx 150, it all depends on the exact model but if its a core duo or core2 duo he will hit the 200 mark.0

Couldent agree more with the laptop chargers, id always go for a replacement of the same brand.. more so with dell laptops.. they can be very fussy!
We have ordered compatibles before from a company called laptopsandspares, quick google search should get you their website.. Might be worth giving them a quick call and see if they have any genuine adapters in stock. they are normally alot cheaper than buying from dell direct.
hope this helps.
Cheers
