Am I very bad

I am a regular poster on here but do not want my name associated with this.

I applied for a credit card in the last 2 weeks, needed to do a BT over as offering 0%.

I photocopied the the form that they sent out to me to sign and return but have just noticed that my salary is incorrect.

An example of what I have done.

Salary 10,000 but instead I put 100,000 I added an extra 0 by mistake.

I have been accepted for the card, so I can do my BT they have searched my credit file which is above average.

Does this extra 0 make alot of difference in the outcome?

Is this classed as fraud?

Wont be posting again, so back to my normal login.

Does it make a difference? Yes, its £90,000 difference.

Is it fraud? Only if you decide not to tell them about your mistake.

Deep down it could be classed as fraud, but I wouldn't worry to much as there is no way of them finding out.

There are probably thousands of people who have done the same thing as you.

Do the transfer and then tell them you have made a mistake. They will not be able to do anything and you will have covered yourself.

Credit cards are all down to risk don't you think lenders have covered all this on their risk basis that there will be people who have made a mistakes on their salary.

Its not exactly crime of the century is it as long as the OP pay back what she borrow the lenders are not going to care how much she earn.

Personally I would tell them and then wait to see if you would be accepted for the card on your true salary.

The danger of not telling them the mistake is that the info gets registered on the national hunter database and makes getting future credit more difficult if national hunter are red flagging you.

This is the issue. Next time you'll get flagged up by Norman, you may struggle to get cards after this. I'd let the transfer complete.. then raise the issue.

Although the OP said it was an "example", I'd expect an error of this magnitude to be flagged up by the fraud prevention agencies this time...never mind the next.

time yet for the card to be rejected, I read alot of posts where people are accepted then decision is reversed, apart from that I would be worried constantly that my mistake was eventually noticed, and surely when you sign t and c's, you are signing to say the information you have supplied is correct! its a bit like walking out of a shop with a trolley load of goods and saying you did not realise you had not paid.

was it a mistake really? or was you worried that with a 10K salary you'd possibly get refused so maybe took a chance and now worried to the concequences? call me sceptical if you like, but i still say this amounts to fraud, you've deliberately misled the cc company regards your income...albeit a "mistake", i find it strange why you don't want to be associated with it, or have you not been practicing what you've preached?
