Ok, that might be against me, but that is pretty funny!

I thanked you because you are obviously a good sport. I came onto this thread again to delete my comment as I thought it was too aggressive (left it though because it didn't offend you)

!!!!!! mate don't tell him that - We'll never hear the end of it now frustrated2.gif

    Alright, I'll humour you.

House prices will never drop. People don't need to sell.

Just say the Halifax or whatever said prices had dropped 20% next month. Do you think home owners would:

    1. Rush out and put the house on the market and sell it cheap.

    2. Not even think about it. Wait until prices rose until they wanted to move.

My house is in Loose near Maidstone. Every time I look at houses for sale they seem to have increased even more than before. I don't really care what prices are doing in other areas. I'm all right Jack and you won't be buying my house cheap. Not in this life. :)

Actually, I can't start saying I'd only take the peak price. My current tenants are like friends to me. If they ever wanted to buy my house I would give them a serious discount. In their case prices will crash a bit.

If they moved somewhere else I would only take 2007+ price. I would get it as well. Take a look on Rightmove at Loose valley house prices.

What you have described here is stagnation which i think is where the property market is at.

    Blimey, Sibley's going soft.

No, sellers are getting the message over. We won't take a low offer. If you want a discount we will hike the asking price.
