Hi,
I have a question about ISA's, and was wondering if anyone can advise me?
I have a Barclays Issue 2 cash ISA with about £1500 in it. The rate was alright, but has now dropped to 2.06%. I opened this account on 25.03.10.
Would it make the most sense for me to transfer this ISA into say the Halifax ISA with 3% interst today, and then open a Barclays Golden ISA issue 3 that offers 3.25% in the next tax year. I could then just leave the origional £1500 in the Halifax ISA, and put all new money into the Barclays ISA.
To me, this makes the most sense, but I'm not sure the few braincells I have are getting the hang of this ISA lark!
Cheers in advance

Yes thats all correct. You will need this form: http://www.halifax.co.uk/savings/forms/HX_ISATF.pdf
You can get the form in branch but it might be easier filling it out now etc.
The new tax year begins April 6th as well FYI (some people think it's April 1st for some reason!)0 -
Perfectly reasonable thing to do0
