Tiscali Customer Service

Having problems with my Tiscali 2mb broadband service. Would appreciate any advice.
Had the service about 5 months now and for much of that time had no problem. However, over the last month or so the speed has been reduced to that of dial up. Have no problems connecting and I am confident that this is not a technical problem at my end. I e-mailed Tiscali and was told to call technical support at national rate. Have now telephoned Tiscali’s technical support line (yes it’s in India) 4 times. They have promised to call me back on two occasions, which they failed to do. I have twice been told it is a problem at their end and that they would resolve the problem urgently. Obviously this has not happened. I am now about to write to them (using snail mail) following the complaints procedure outlined on their website. I am beginning to doubt that I will receive the courtesy of a reply.
So far, their customer service has been nothing short of pathetic.

Yep its dreadful
thats why we are leaving.
we got our fup letters, and even though we were not downloading in peak times tehy still have put us onto a fup so now its incredibly slow.
have you seen the complaints on tiscali's own forums - everyones complaining.
we've just had enough. Get put onto a FUP by downloading in peak hours ^ - 11 pm weekdays and they'll let you get your MAC code and let you out of your contract!!!!!! you can then (apparently) migrate seemlessly to another broadband provider.
we're doing this soon - as soon as quidco's up and runing again so I'll let you know how easy it is. in practice You do have to wait for the letters first though you get about 3 emails warning you before they let you go.
