Parking Charge Notice from UKPC to pay or not to pay?

I've already had the first letter - they are prompt if nothing else!
BTW was parked in a shared car park in a retail park, many shops there including Maplin, Hobby Craft, Tesco etc....
The letter is obviously a generic one, asks for the front and back of MY disabled badge despite me telling them in my initial email that it was my mothers?? They say if I do this they will review my case!
It also says my vehicle was photographed without the permit on clear display (permit being the disabled badge I assume?)
It also states: Our records show you were the Keeper/Owner/Driver of the vehicle involved in the contravention:rotfl:Naught car! And what sort of records do they hold to tell them this?? Do they think they are the DVLA?
OK what do I do next?? Send them the copies they ask for and wait for the joke reply of sorry but you now owe us £90???

Just keep ignoring. Who do these people think they are? They are not the police, the council or the DVLA. They are just a bunch of private citizens with no more authority than you or me.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

It doesn't matter what you send them - your 'appeal' will be denied and they'll tell you to pay up.
Good job you are under no obligation to. Simply ignore them and get on with your life.0 -

Well I got a lovely photo of my car in the post yesterday!
Strangly it shows my car parked in the disabled spot, but is photographed from the rear, so if they are trying to show I didn't have a disabled badge they are not really going the right way about it. I am assuming they have done this as if they showed it from the bonnet end it would have shown the badge, albeit partially obscured.
Oh yes and I 'owe' them £90 now.
The words 'jog on' come to mind after all the advice I have received on here!
I really hope i'm doing the right thing ignoring them:eek:MFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0 -

Yes you are, ignore the scammers!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Thanks taffy, I'm still a little worried as I emailed them initially explaining the situation, hence admitting I was driving - doh, but I'm assuming that doesn't matter as they are still illegally trying to enforce this??
TPAx
PS, Sorry I know, it seems like I need constant reasurance....thats because I do!!!MFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0
