Glad I went Wilkinson's instead of Tesco

I had to go to Tesco this morning, I passed Wilkinson and noticed in their window Dettol Spray £1, so I thought I would go to Tesco first to price it, the cost was £2.24.
I also needed Calgon Tabs (£4) and Domestos (£1) in Tesco, so I thought I won't buy it here first, I will go to Wilkinson.
In Wilkinson the cost was Calgon Tabs £3, Domestos £0.79.
So I saved £2.45

I love Wilkos - it's always worth checking as they have very good offers from time to time as well as their normal low-priced lines. This can include some top brands but I like what I've tried of their own lines too.Miggy

Bike stuff there is fantastic too. Inner tubes are about £2 and tyres about £6. Then there's car stuff - wiper blades £1.97 each! Nowhere, not even online, comes close to that afaik.0

I always find Wilko's to be cheapest on almost everything. Brilliant shop, especially love the garden section (CHEAP!), the ironmongery dept, the decorating and the stationary. Wonderful place!:A Thanks to all the lovely people who contribute their advice! :A0

Save even more money if you didnt buy Calgon.

"Which? said it simulated three years' washing and found no evidence that, without Calgon, washing machines would fail earlier because the level of limescale was not great enough. It has submitted a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority."0 -
I love Wilkinson's. It was my only consolation after Woolworths failed, and Wilkinsons's is far better than Woolworths was.0

It begs the age old question. What is more valuable, your time or your money. I don't have the time to shop around multiple shops. I find that ASDA generally are much better value than Tesco anyway, so I just get everything from there.0

Wilkinson's also heavily support their local communities - there are notice boards for small ads in every store and always little fundraising activities for charities. The staff are so pleasant and helpful too.
This afternoon I was searching in vain through the catalogue to order in store and was helped by staff to find exactly what I wanted at a bargain price. The guy who took my order also took payment for the goods in my trolley so that I didn't have to queue twice.
In the trolley was a 1.5 litre bottle of Lenor for £2, £3.37 in Tesco. A Silentnight mattress protector that is £8.29 on Amazon was £3 - I could go on and on. Brilliant for toiletries, garden goods and DIY - and I buy all the bits for my bike there too.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
