    checked e-mails

had to go to shops to get MIL a birthday present stayed within budget but having them round for dinner on Wed so had to go to shops to get stuff for dinner- ended up spending £22 not budgeted for.

    Hi everyone

Just caught up with the threads over the weekend and today. Big hugs to everyone who needs one and for those who are feeling down in the ruddy dumps :grouphug:

    Today:
    • Hubby started his new job :D Says it's pretty boring and doesn't sound like there is much chance of it becoming permanent so he'll keep looking for something else throughout his 3 month placement
    • HM lunch
    • Storecupboard tea
    • Sorting out + clearing out = lots of rubbish + charity shop bags
    • Pennies in the pot
Got a bit of not-so-good-on-the-DFW-front news too - got a trapped nerve in my back. Has been there for a while but just got it confirmed - free spinal check. Got a visit with the chiropractor week after next. Looking forward to it and hoping to pay it with £££ I may get for my bday. Ho hum. On the small thing front - the chiropractor place is on my street so I can walk there and not need to pay any bus fare :p

    Evening all

I'm off on holiday from work for a whole week :j and usually that makes it easier for me to keep my spending in check. Today I have -
    • Breakfast, lunch and dinner from stores
    • Checked online banking
    • Had a low spend day
    • Updated my spreadsheets ready for next month
    • Resisted the urge to buy a book from Amazon  - very hard that one. I can resist almost anything, except temptation
    • Didn't take the car out today - walked to the shops for my low spend day. Lovely and sunny it was too!
