So the OP accepts forged notes as payment and the business ends up losing out. That is not petty. This could have been stopped by the OP asking for the pen. Not being given one is just an excuse.

If customers are complaining about attitude then there is a problem.

    Oo harsh!

When did I say any notes were forged??

I agree my personality was probably a bit down but that was because of the issues at work.

Are these not tangible enough...? The supervisor has asked the OP to use a pen to check the notes (a company requirement) and a different person (manager, I think) told OP that a customer had complained about the way the bag was packed and the lack of a pleasant manner. Both reasonable pieces of feedback - bank notes must be checked to prevent monetary losses and customers need to be kept happy so they don't shop elsewhere.

I know you may mean well but we need to be sensible about this. Has the OP been asked to do anything unacceptable? It seems not. Maybe the supervisor or manager was a bit off when talking to the OP - we weren't there and can only go on the OP's perceptions BUT those may be influenced by stress / depression.

A retail environment is stressful and there are many rules that need to be followed - that's the bottom line. Is the OP ready to handle working in this area?

Let's just keep in mind that supervisors are paid to supervise and managers to manage.

On the other hand, if the OP feels that treatment has been unfair then there will be appropriate routes to pursue to address this. Just calling in sick is not really dealing with the situation and it won't get better on its own.

Strider was commenting on a different matter ;)

You didn't say there were, but being as you weren't checking them, you wouldn't have known.
