One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

It's not off!
Thats the thing. I don't need a label to tell me when somethings gone off. I'll use my eyes and nose and also cook it properly. The vast majority of food poisening cases are where people don't know how to cook food properly anyway.0 -
Can't wait to find out which chain of Supermarkets this is.
I've had an off (minging) chicken from Netto, but we didn't shop there frequently and I couldn't be bothered to go back and complain (probably served me right for shopping at Netto!). We've had a few things go off when bought from Asda, they have always replaced the item AND refunded the price paid (therein covering our petrol costs for the return visit). Funnily enough I've never yet bought anything off from Tesco.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

The meat in question was 3 days over the sell by. 3 Days. Now if it was bright green, slimy and a fortnight out of date I could fully understand the furore, but 3 days?0 -

Yeah but I've not found anywhere that says eating food past it's as stated use-by/sell-by date is a common cause of food poisening. As I've already said undercooked food is one of the most common causers, also cross contamination. http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Food-poisoning/Pages/Causes.aspx
If you use common sense with food & dates and cook everything properly and take care when preparing it you won't get food poisening.0 -
Bet you check the dates next time you go shopping !! The shop apologised and refunded you, i'd let it go now. Lifes too short to sweat the small stuff.0

See you have just edited your posting!! Tut tut always make sure of your postings and accusations before submittiing them !!
To elaborate, you stated in your earlier posting :Money_User wrote: »I don't need a label to tell me when somethings gone off. I'll use my eyes and nose and also cook it properly. The vast majority of food poisening cases are where people don't know how to cook food properly anyway.
http://www.ehow.com/how_2104485_tell-food-has-gone-bad.html shows the above as being factually uncorrect.
It states 'the nose can't let you know for sure, like in cases where there are several ingredients in one dish. A casserole made with a ton of onions will smell so strongly anyway and will be overpowered by that smell. Also, if your dish has been sitting beside another spoiled dish in the fridge, then it may take on the smell of that dish.' and also states 'If you're at a family picnic and that fried chicken has been out for a while, chances are it is has gone bad. Same thing with that half-eaten piece of pizza at a party. According to the National Sanitation Foundation, "any time food products are left at room temperature for more than two hours, bacteria can begin to grow and may potentially cause a foodborne illness."
Hope this helps or do you need anymore clarification ?;):rotfl:0 -

Sirmarcus on your link it stated this:
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
I was saying that undercooked food, also whilst I'm at it food not prepared properly will be the most common cause of food poisening. The article you found doesn't contradict what I've said. May I suggest you stick with articles with just an "easy" rating so you don't get yourself confused!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: You have edited your posting for a second time !!! Brilliant and great entertainment !!:rotfl::rotfl:
With regards 'I suggest you stick with articles with just an "easy" rating so you don't get yourself confused!', I am thinking of the 'pot' 'kettle', 'black', 'calling' combination of words. Look at my previous posting for detail!
Never mind; keep taking the medication or are you still on your monthly cycle ?
Great entertainment again !!:rotfl:0
